The main goal of The Secret Workshop or The Science of Getting Rich Seminar is to present what really the secret is all about. The secret is called the Law of Attraction. It is not yet a scientific law. However, it is a mystical law. If that means nothing to you, look over this article. You will see why its mystical quality is actually working in its favor and not against it.
Many authors have written about this law through human history though only recently has the term “law of attraction” (as the main focus of The Secret Workshop) been applied to the concept. This law says simply “like attracts like”. Though the ones that have moved history along have understood this principle, the majority of people have not heard it.
Even when teachers like Christ, Krishna , or Buddha invited their contemporaries to the table of abundance and joy, the systematizers of their teachings often missed the joyful, abundant aspect of the message and soon you had people walking around believing being poor was the same thing as being pious. This is primarily because the powerful have been afraid to lose the exclusivity of their power so they’ve sat on it.
How would the speakers in The Secret Workshop perceive the law of attraction? Is it really a law or it is viewed on a different angle? Back to the question of whether it’s a law. Really, which collection of scientists do you go to get an idea like the Law of Attraction confirmed? Do you go to the evolutionary biologists? Their role seems clearly defined as understanding the mechanics that gave rise to the diversity of life that we now see on the planet. That is, they are searching for mechanics not primary mechanism. Any time someone brings up primary mechanism to a contemporary evolutionary biologist the typical response is that the question of primary mechanism is outside the purview of his field.
If you apply the question of which field of scientific study would best uncover the Law of Attraction as scientific, you find that very nature of the law is outside the scope of the scientific program. Indeed, the hard sciences pride themselves on the fact that they only deal with “hard” or physical, meaning externally verifiable, evidence.
It is a tricky a fact that on the one hand “real” scientists (the way hard scientists view themselves) want to only deal with what they can see, touch, hear, smell, and taste, while on the other hand, what makes it possible for a person to do any of these things can’t be seen, touched, tasted, smelled, or heard. In short, “hard” science not only hasn’t but can’t tell us anything about human experience despite all of their success in the external fields.
As the 20th century plodded along a lot of the lab findings were adding up to a huge descriptive problem for the old Newtonian physicists. For one thing, they could shoot a load of atoms at a piece of gold foil and some of them would end up getting through the foil without breaking it. How is that possible if the atoms of the gold foil are held together by a firm electric charge? This was just one of the growing piles of evidence that mismatched the basic Newtonian predictive model.
How could they find a law that predicted the many contradictions that they were finding? Einstein solved some of it with his theory of relativity but still large problems remained. As the 20th has moved into the 21st, many seemingly bizarre theories (m-theory, entanglement, the multiverse) have come along as a way to help scientists understand the mountains of data they were collecting that didn’t do what they were supposed to.
First they discovered that atoms weren’t the smallest units of fabrication, there’s the quantum level below that. So that was fine, until they discovered that below the quantum level there appeared to be a field of probability that essentially proved that all physical matter is nothing but a soup possible configuration flashing in an out of existence too quickly for the human eye to detect.
This led to the idea that the observer is the only real aspect of the whole universe of materialism. This in turn, opens the door for the secret. If you create your reality by what you choose to perceive, then by shifting your perceptions, the fabric of materialism–or the field of probability underlying materialism–can shift and remold itself to match whatever you are putting your attention.
The concept of the law of attraction will be further discussed in the secret workshop. In this seminar, the speakers will reveal how to use the law of attraction to create your own reality.
